Martin Racine is Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Design and Computation Arts, at Concordia University. He holds a PhD in Design, specialized in Design Theory and a Master's degree in Communication Sciences, where he focused on the field of semiotics and cognitive sciences. For over fifteen years, he has been developing research-creation projects in the field of design and has initiated a Research Laboratory related to new technologies (3D printing, 3D scanning) applied to sustainable design. He recently published a book entitled: Julien Hébert, fondateur du design moderne au Québec.

Philippe Lalande is a professor at the School of Design, University of Montreal. He holds a Master of Design degree from the Royal College of Art in London. His research spans various subjects related to the application of 3D modelling techniques to the design process, in particular Rapid Prototyping. Since joining the University of Montreal, Lalande has taught courses and workshops related to this area of specialization as well as to the Professional Practice of Design. Between 2009 and 2013, he was chair of the School of Design. Lalande is founder and director of Formlab, a research facility at the School of Design dedicated to the development of physical and virtual modelling techniques.
